Work Plus
(Industrial Rehabilitation)
Work Plus is a comprehensive cost-effective program designed to provide a continuum of services for the industrial and work setting. Through this service, our therapists will assist employers in reducing injuries and overall costs, secondary to workers compensation claims and lost time at work.
Work Plus Programs include:
· Pre-work Screen – to determine ability to perform a certain job
· On-site assessment – to identify and correct impairments before work injuries occur
· Work Conditioning – to provide rapid recovery to a safe return to work
· Job-site Analysis – to evaluate components of a job’s requirement to determine the required capabilities.
· Functional Capacity Evaluation – to test and measure the physical abilities of an injured worker
Work Conditioning Program
Designed to restore strength, endurance, flexibility, motor control and balance, the Work Conditioning Program is designed to restore the client’s ability to perform his or her previous job.
The Work Conditioning Program speeds recovery time and reduces the likelihood of re-injury upon return to work. Work conditioning is highly structured, individualized, goal orientated program designed to maximize the individual’s ability to return to work. This program allows an individual to ease back into work without the uncertainty of failure and re-injury.
Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE)
The FCE is currently the best tool available to aid the physician in determining a person’s ability to perform work related tasks and or physical activities of daily living. This test will provide objective data addressing lifting, job stimulated tasks, hand dexterity, work postures and validity of effort. The results of the FCE can help to establish physical demand levels, work tolerance and work readiness.
